Job Description

The Client Project Manager is responsible for managing large clinical records exchange and chart review projects. A key aspect of the role includes liaising with Account Management and Operations to ensure the service delivery commitments CIOX Health has made to our clients are fulfilled.   This role requires strong analytical skills and experience or an understanding of project management principals and information systems technology (IT).


  • Provide full oversight to risk adjustment and quality related projects that provide significant impact to our health insurance clients. This primarily consists of risk adjustment analytics, healthcare medical records retrieval and chart review coding projects.
  • Coordination and communication with client to ensure meeting of expectations and SLA’s.
  • Partner with key stakeholders, primarily account managers and operations to understand project progress, expected project success, and data trends within each project
  • Understand and have the ability to analyze project data to identify trends related to project goals and act accordingly within the organization
  • Provide project support including facilitation, tracking and reporting on projects, and client deliverables
  •  Work with various stewards along the medical records retrieval project continuum to ensure timely records retrieval to the benefit of the overall success of each project
  • Adjust forecasts and timelines, as well as balancing resources for producing or delivering project deliverables
  • Track and clearly communicate project metrics expectations, trends and expected outcomes to clients and client managers
  • Work within CIOX Healthcare client project management framework, processes, and tools
  • Support the creation and improvement of processes, procedures, and tools
  • Track and report on client portfolio performance, providing a real-time, comprehensive, and prioritized view of all projects


  • Understanding of Risk Adjustment and Healthcare/Health IT industry experience preferred
  • Experience in account management or project management and knowledge of project management principles
  • Prior experience in Account Management, Operations for a healthcare services company or Health plan operations desired
  • Understanding of the principles and frameworks of successful project management from an account support perspective
  • Understanding of project delivery and acceptance processes within a fast-paced business environment
  • Demonstrated capability for problem solving, decision making, sound judgment, assertiveness
  • Influencing skills and understanding stakeholder needs
  • Ability to quickly establish rapport, credibility, trust, respect throughout the organization, and be viewed as a team player
  • Effective communication skills at all levels excellent communication of oral, written and presentation skills with the ability to conduct presentations comfortably to large groups, local and remote
  • Excellent strategic thinking skills and rigorous analytical skills
  • Strong relationship building and interpersonal skills
  • Experienced user of MS Project and MS Office toolset (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
  • Professional and positive approach, Self-motivated, self-sufficient, collaborates well, team player, and diligent with attention to detail
  • Assertive, adaptable, creative and a can do attitude and willingness to go the extra mile when required

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree required, with an emphasis in Business Administration, MIS, Operations, IT, Process Improvement, or Business Analytics. 
  • At least 2-5 years experience in Healthcare Technology, Medical Records, Health Information, required.
  • Knowledge of Project Management principals, preferred PMP Certification or active PMI involvement
