Job Description

Job Summary:

This position insures that all daily operations of the finance department are completed accurately and timely, including cash, accounts payable, customer purchasing, collections, accounting customer services and inventory control.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Miscellaneous deposits and AR cash batch entry
  • Returned check review for RTM process or prepare redeposit
  • Retrieve daily bank activity
  • Update daily reports
  • Update cash worksheets for month end JE’s
  • Oversee all functions related to the A/P process
  • Post daily AP, AR, and BL interface journals
  • Review PR journal data and post
  • Review AP distribution and post (AP175)
  • GL System maintenance
  • Update audit schedules monthly
  • Maintain monthly JE’s for Tax, Insurance and Misc Expense & Accruals
    • Postage by phone
    • Visa Card Activity
  • Salary recovery invoice journal and tracking
  • Write/produce reports as requested
    • Sales by state
    • Worker’s Comp by Area – Qtrly
  • Supervise all activities within the Accounts Payable function
  • Insure prompt and accurate payment of all invoices
  • Reconcile A/P trial balance to General Ledger monthly
  • Manage Corporate Card Program
  • Review and approve checks prior to signing/mailing
  • Any other tasks or projects as assigned by Controller and/or executive management


Minimum Qualifications

  • A minimum of 5 years experience in Accounting related position
  • At least 2 years experience in a management position


A minimum of a 4 year degree in accounting related field
