Job Description

Ciox Health is looking for a skilled Product Owner to join the newly formed Data Management Team. The Data Management Product Owner primarily assists the Data Engineering and BI/Reporting Agile teams in conveying a clear product vision to the scrum teams with an emphasis on effective communication and collaboration. The Product Owner is primarily responsible for managing a well maintained, groomed and effective backlog through the creation of user stories that support the Ciox Data Management Roadmap. The Data Management Product Owner is expected to be proficient in Data Analysis working with large Data Sets in various formats including RDBMS and Excel. The Data Management Product Owner develops detailed requirements by leveraging Data Analysis in addition to gathering requirements from stakeholder, customer and Product Manager feedback and translates this feedback into user stories. This role is the liaison between the Data Engineering, Product & Operations teams. The Product Owner has a strong business acumen & technical understanding of Data to ensure the business needs are accomplished through development efforts.



Responsibilities

• Responsible for maintaining a well-groomed product backlog that will support multiple scrum teams
• Translates the Product Manager's roadmap initiatives into clearly defined feature sets related to data and analytics
• Perform hands-on Data Analysis using SQL, Excel etc., on Ciox Master Data Sets, clearly communicate the results of the analysis to key stakeholders and help drive the business needs based on the Data Analysis
• Writes user stories with clearly defined acceptance criteria
• Documents workflows and wireframes that will be used to support UI/UX design and development
• Participates in Scrum meetings, facilitates Grooming and Tasking, and assists Scrum Master in organizing Sprint Reviews
• Advises Technical writer(s) of new product specifications are accurately updated to reflect product enhancements
• Interpret enterprise data and provide subject matter expertise in the data functional analyst role across the Data Lifecycle Management functions including Data Ingestion, Curation and Analytics
• Assists in data management, governance, and data quality of enterprise data requirements with other functional data owners to ensure enterprise data integrity across the IT Application system landscape.
• Manages, analyzes, and resolves data initiative issues to meet internal and customer data requirements while adhering to enterprise standards.
• Identifies areas for data quality improvements and helps to resolve data quality problems through the appropriate choice of error detection and correction, process control and improvement, or process design strategies.
• Promotes continuous improvement of the scrum teams



Qualifications

• 5-7 years of experience working in an Agile Software Development environment
• 3-5 years of experience working as Product Owner
• 1-3 years of experience working in the healthcare IT
• Strong SQL skills to support data analysis and troubleshooting
• Experienced in assisting Scrum Master and facilitating Scrum ceremonies including Grooming, Tasking and Sprint Reviews
• Must have a proactive work ethic, desire to challenge the status quo, and an attitude that focuses on the voice of the customer
• Efficient in Microsoft Visio or other standard software creating detailed workflows and wireframes
• Must have ability to work in a fast-paced IT environment with medium to large scale projects
• Possesses an innovative spirit, is high energy, with ability to multi-task, prioritize tasks, and ability to adapt quickly in a rapidly changing environment.
• Strong organization, documentation, change management and project management skills
• Functional liaison working with the Business and IT teams managing the requirements intake and translation to the development teams supporting build and test/rollout activities.
• Present complex findings of the data analysis in plain language and work with Agile teams to groom the development backlog.
• Ability to work with and influence peers, scrum teams and management
• Bachelor's degree in information science, computer science, mathematics, statistics or related field preferred.
• Experience working with industry standards and guidelines in master data management and data warehousing
• Proven working experience as a data analyst with hands-on experience using SQL along with Analytics tools such as Tableau, Spotfire, Power BI, Qlik etc
• Agile or Scrum certified preferred, but not required
