The VP Software Engineering will have a successful track record in the delivery of software products with proven experience in building, managing and motivating a strong distributed team of software architects, software engineers, and QA/test teams responsible for developing and deploying a scalable technology platform in a hybrid-hosted ecosystem. This leader must also have experience in working in a product-oriented environment and within an Agile culture leveraging dev-ops processes and tools. This leader must have a proven track record for driving change and delivering results. This role will have visibility at the senior executive levels, and manage the development of several products. This leader must be a cultural evangelist who will advocate for both the business unit and companys forward-looking transformation. Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Manage day-to-day product development for the Retrieval business
  • Implement the strategy, technology, process and human capital capable of supporting a scalable, functional and reliable product offering that increases Ciox Healths success in the market
  • Work with the Sales, Operations, Finance and Product organizations to understand business drivers, market requirements and competitive issues to align software platforms with Cioxs value proposition
  • Participate in evaluating current and future technologies
  • Identify, develop, and articulate the appropriate product goals advancing the companys overall product offering strategy and conceptual approach
  • Develop and manage a multi-year technology and product roadmap, working with the Ciox leadership team to link market opportunities to specific development efforts
  • Influence the entire product life cycle, including planning, the ongoing customer request process, updates/upgrades, and end of life; manage and balance the critical trade-off decisions between functionality, resources and delivery timeframes
  • Inspire and manage a best-in-class product engineering team to create an environment with a sense of mission and accountability.
  • Integrate the engineering team across physical locations enabling greater collaboration and creating a sense of belonging
  • Ability to communicate complex topics to multiple audiences to generate a common roadmap between sales, marketing, product management, and engineering

Job Requirements

  • Expert knowledge of the Agile methodologies, benefits and pitfalls, and how to manage expectations with non-technical managers
  • Previous experience as a software developer, understanding what it takes to deliver solid and stable code in a continuous integration / continuous testing / continuous delivery (CICD) environment
  • Thorough understanding of security principles in a SaaS environment, what it takes to secure data, and how to communicate security concepts to customers and stakeholders
  • Command of software languages, including but not limited to .NET/JAVA
  • A thorough understanding of Software-as-a-Service(SaaS) platforms.
  • Experience building SaaS application products and working with centralized SaaS platform teams (common components / microservices architectures)
  • Thorough understanding of security principles in a SaaS environment, what it takes to secure data, and how to communicate security concepts to customers and stakeholders
  • Ability to travel (50%)
  • Ability to communicate complex topics to multiple audiences to generate a common roadmap between sales, marketing, product management, and engineering
  • Technical degree in CS, advanced degree a plus, but not required (MS, MBA)
